The Island Sailing Club Burgee Collection is a digital catalogue of all the burgees, presented to the club by visiting yachtsmen and club members over many years, and housed within the clubhouse of the Island Sailing Club.

The three pictures below show general views of the Club's collection of burgees received by visiting yachtsmen and club members over many years. The burgees have all been photographed and catalogued, and this website will enable you to find out more about a particular club by visiting its own website.

The Burgee Collection is also available as a hard copy version held in a Photo Album. This can be found in the Bar area (near the balcony doors) within the Club.

Some clubs may no longer exist or may have merged with others. At the moment, we have not been able to obtain web addresses or other information for a few clubs.

This project began in 2016, by two club members; Rod Nicholls and thirteen year-old cadet member Reece Nicholls.

All the photos, web design, layout and technical work has been carried out by Reece. Rod worked on the collating data, researching clubs, etc.

Since the project began, the website has been through multiple transformations. The current platform has been programmed by Reece (first in 2016, then 2020, and 2024) to help bring you an improved browsing experience.
